Steve Hewitt is a founding partner of Ascent3


Steve has been involved in the IT technology industry for 30 years and currently serves as a board member and executive advisor to several emerging technology businesses in the US and Europe and well as acting as a Senior Advisor for merchant banks and other investment organizations targeting emerging businesses with high growth potential.


Latterly, Steve was a Partner and COO of Eleven Canterbury, a specialist expert network and IT consultancy focusing upon early to middle stage emerging technologies.


In previous roles Steve led INS’s consulting business across Europe, Middle East and Africa, which grew to 14 countries and 1800 consultants over a five-year period from a standing start. Post INS’s acquisition by Lucent he managed the firm’s ‘Large Project’ group, responsible for numerous carrier and mobile build outs worldwide. At this time Steve also program managed the INS and Ascend integration into Lucent and well as running the integration activities round the NetCare Professional Services organization within Lucent.


Post Lucent, Steve was responsible for spearheading Greenwich Technologies European expansion as well as growing his own Management Consulting Practice in both the UK and the US.


Steve’s current major focus is working with developing and emerging stage companies along side their executive teams, assisting their growth strategies.

Chuck Gaspari is a founding partner of Ascent3


Chuck specializes in strategic business consulting and business development.  As both an internal and external consultant, he has partnered with chief executives and other senior officers on strategic planning and operations encompassing start-up development, marketing and sales, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate policies and practices

Prior to Ascent3, Chuck founded G&G Sports and Entertainment Group, a firm that provides business development and consulting services to sports and entertainment industry professionals


Prior to launching G&G, Chuck held the position of Director of Operations for Sports Media Group, a sports and entertainment media consulting firm. Chuck was responsible for managing the business affairs of the company and assisting with workshops and presentations. Sports Media Group’s clients include: the Commissioner’s Office for the NBA and Major League Baseball, fourteen major league baseball teams, four NBA teams, five NHL teams, the LPGA, PGA, WTA and the ATP Tours


Chuck joined Sports Media Group after practicing law with a Florida law firm where he handled various corporate, transactional, real estate, construction, and litigation matters. Prior to his private practice experience, Chuck served as law clerk to the Honorable Ann E. Vitunac, United States Magistrate for the Southern District of Florida. Chuck also served as White House Staff assistant to then Vice President George H.W.  Bush. As an Advance Representative he coordinated logistics, protocol, and security for the Vice President's foreign and domestic events


Chuck holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and literature from Rutgers University, attended University College, University of London, and earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Chuck is also a licensed investment banker

Brian Mass is a founding partner of Ascent3


Brian has been involved in the investment banking and information technology industry for over fifteen years


Prior to Ascent3, Brian was a Director in Citigroup’s Global Technology Investment Banking Group and specialized in providing corporate finance and advisory services for Global Services and IT Infrastructure companies


During Brian’s tenure with Citigroup he executed over $70 billion in transactions including $6.5 billion in financings and $10 billion in acquisitions for IBM, the $14 billion sale of EDS to HP, the $8 billion sale of ACS to Xerox, $1.5 billion in financings plus the $550 million acquisition of Headstrong for Genpact, and various other financing and advisory engagements for companies such as Accenture, EXL Service, Hewitt, interxion, SAIC, SRA, TeleTech, Unisys, West and Wipro


Prior to Citigroup, Brian was an Analyst at Rho Ventures, a venture capital firm with over $2 billion under management


Brian received a BA in Economics from Northwestern University and is FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent) registered
